How to use this site

This site is designed to be navigated by using the main menu: home, press, awards, about us, index, japanese, help

main menu
The main menu items: press, awards and about us are dropdown menus which activate as you move your cursor over them. Releasing on one of the dropdown items will take you to the corresponding page.

Clicking on index will take you to the praemium imperiale laureate index page where you can choose which laureate's page to visit: you can search by laureate's name, category, year of award and by interview or lecture. Simply follow the instructions and release on the laureate of your choice.

Releasing on all laureates under the awards menu will take you to the index so that you can choose which laureate to visit.

Clicking on japanese will take you to the japanese language version of the site.

sub-menu
The sub-menu is located on the left side of the page. You will find it on the press pages, about us pages, 2001 laureates page, grant for young artists page and all individual laureates' pages.

Click on sub-menu items to access them.

interviews
When you click on interview in the sub-menu, the Quick Time video begins. If you do not have Quick Time player installed on your machine you will need to download it to view the video. You can download it now for free. Click on the link below.

press releases
