Decorated with the Officier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Letters by the government of France

Appointed a member of Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome

Assumed the post of General Director of the Beppu Argerich Music Festival

Opened the Martha Argerich International Piano Competition in Buenos Aires

Awarded Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli International Prize

Opened the Martha Argerich Project in Lugano, Switzerland
