In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, The Japan Art Association decided not to hold the Awards Ceremony and related events scheduled for October. Each laureate will receive an honorarium of 15 million yen, a medal and a testimonial letter in October.

The recipient of The Grant for Young Artists was presented a grant of 5 million yen to assist its efforts to help young artists on September 14 at a press conference in Rome.
